Okay, my sister put a lift kit and new tires/wheels on her 2015 Tacoma. She had the stockers sitting in the garage when I visited on Easter. The tires are very similar aside from the rim size (17 vs 16 on my suburban) and the bolt pattern looked the same. Aside from the obvious that it’s different brands, could I bolt the taco wheels on my 04 suburban? Of course the tpms wouldn’t jive, but maybe I could get new sensors as my burban is having issues with one or two of them anyway. I don’t think the difference between the 16″ and 17″ wheels is that big of a deal.

You could hold off on TPMS if you don’t mind the light being on.
According to TR, Massachusetts doesn’t require working TPMS to pass inspection.
On edit: I may test this out this weekend if I don’t get time to swap the snows for summers.

Rock Auto has OEM ACDelco TPMS sensors around $40 ea.
but you can JY it too on the cheap

Any offset issues? Do you think it matters that the taco is 4wd and my suburban is 2wd?

Check offset and center bore. All the information should be available on the back of the wheels or from a bit of crafty web searching.

They are both 6 x 5.5″ bolt patterns.
Hub bore on the Chevy is smaller, though, so factory hub-centric wheels won’t fit over the hub of the Taco. 106mm for the Taco and 78.3mm for the GM (unless its a 3/4, but even then its only 100mm)
But putting Taco wheels on the Chevy is definitely an option. I would not use them if they have Mag-style lugs, but I don’t think that’s the case. As long as they are acorn style, they will bolt on and center on the lugs well enough that way.
Do some googling and find a weight rating for the Taco wheels. The ‘burb has a much higher GVW, and I would hate to see you snap one with a big load on a pothole. That can really ruin your day.
