When i enter the vehicle — key is not detected — it asks me to start car by pushing start button with key — then it starts, after system check i get check brakes fault — it sounds like brakes are locked or something similar.

You don’t know what happens between leaving the factory and the moment that you get it. Probably many weeks without being used. Using the car maintains the 12V battery, not using does not.

Perhaps key fob battery is low as key is not recognized?
Push your key fob against the start button, press the brake and push startbutton. If your TFT display is flickering the 12V battery is drained. A short charge is sufficient to start the car. Suc6.

When the ECM gets insufficient power from the 12V battery all perifical systems go complete bananas. Key not recognized, brakes, sensors, etc.etc. I see on your video that the rightsize HEV battery charging gauge has a number of red low level indicators. That could indicate ECM power is too low.
I encountered the same phenomenon picking up my hybrid on delivery. Some mechanic had been working on the satnav update for more than 1 hour. Next morning my electric system was dead. Recipe was very simple. 5 minutes on a 5 Amp charger and everything went normal. Car started promptly and no problems occurred so far.

I managed to talk to sales man (so at least thats a +) . He said the same thing after talking to service guy. Probably low 12v battery. I’ll go to garage tommorow so they can run diagnostic and replace battery if needed.
I went to car now and it started! So i drove for 15 minutes to get some juice to 12v batt so i can drive to service tommorow. (i turned everything off that i dont need to drive includin lights. its local road no traffic. )
I’ll check back when i get results.

You do not really need to drive for this. The important thing is that the the car is fully on. That connects the traction battery, which then automatically charges the 12V battery. If you only have «accessories» on, then you are in danger, as that feeds the car’s electric system from the 12V battery while the traction battery is disconnected and cannot charge the 12V battery. And the 12V batteries of hybrids and EV’s are usually kept small as they do not need to provide power for starting an ICE.
Sometimes technicians are not aware of this and work on the car for a longer time without having the car fully on, thereby spoiling the 12V battery. For the same reason, when standing still for some time, waiting and listening to the radio, better have the car fully on; you also get a warning for that if you don’t.

Ok, no thanks. Probably you resolved the problem yourself already. Perhaps Hyundai could have made the error handling somewhat more comprehensible. Instead of a random number of errors 1 overruler when the aux batt is low.>> Charge your battery!
These types of defaults scare the living daylights of every driver not familiar with the Ioniq, myself included but of course I had the guilty mechanic next to me

if i listen to music lets say while cleaning car — i always have it turned fully on (i turn lights off offcourse and ventilation too) exactly because it warns me that battery will get discharged. I did that 2 times in my 3 weeks of ownership — had it fully turned on.
I get diagnostic tommorow so we will see what they figure out — the guy said it’s a potentially faulty 12v battery and they will change it.

Car had extensive 2 hours of testing in garage. the error was saved but they couldn’t find the cause. fisicaly everything was fine. They checked every connection on 12v battery and what makes it charge and it was fine. Battery was fully charged and in good condition — if i wanted them they would change it but as i said that was not the problem.
So actually we didn’t fix anything we are just waiting if the problem happens again and was asked not to touch anything in that case just call assistance so they get it in «broken» status.
At least i got a good coffie and red all magasines there

good to see they gave the car a good once over, and what they want you do in event of another failure ( which I think is unlikely)

Yeah, on my first trip after collecting the car I got a warning over the ABS system and the car went into safe mode or something. I pulled over, switched it off and on again and it hasn’t happened since in 14,000 miles. Nothing else either.
The cars spend 4 weeks on the water, get driven on and off the carrier and then get a standard pre-delivery inspection from the dealer, you do get glitches as the electronics get more and more sophisticated. But what you had sure sounds like a classic battery glitch.

I think the problem was in settings -> other features -> Aux. battery saver+ this setting should be checked its factory setting by def. on and i don’t know how i managed to uncheck it or somebody else did in garage before i got it. Since i turned this back on i had no problem but to be honest i didn’t test if same problem happens with setting off and i’m not going to try

After not using my car for 2 days, I started the car and it had a message saying battery saving mode was activated or something like that. I think the 12v battery was automatically charged using the EV baterry. thoughts?

Aux. battery saver+ does exactly that. i think it had 72 hour interval or something like that — its written in manual.

Only if it runs down slowly over 72 hours. If it goes faster the systems can’t wakeup and start charging. It also depends on 12V to operate.

Turning off the saver function saves you 12V power consumption (because the systems don’t keep waking up and checking) so the battery lasts longer. This way the user can make the choice.

I have battery aux saver turned on.
— I once had the car on aux power only, just powering the radio and windows. A single press of the power button without having the foot on the brake. After 3 hours when I tried to start I had the same symptoms as the O.P. : Needed to hold the key close to power button, brake malfunction. It’s only when I tried to open the charge port I noticed the solenoid sounded weak. I boosted the battery with a portable booster and then I drove it for 10 mins and all was fine.
— I have a dashcam hooked up with a front and rear camera that has parking mode. This feeds off the 12V battery 24/7. No problem! When I power up in full power mode, powering on with foot on brake, it just says the aux battery was used. All is normal and I drive away.
So I’ve concluded this:
1 — Don’t use Aux power only for long periods of time
2 — You can leave the car off for a very long time even with a device doing some vampire drain and it’ll use the aux power saving feature properly.

From all the mentions in this forum of the 12v battery being an issue in the EV, a couple of observations and a question arise.
In addition to selling a wall charger for the main battery, it seems that Hyundai should offer as accessories 1) an intelligent reconditioning 12v battery charger and 2) a 12v battery booster pack as mentioned earlier in the thread, especially in cold climates.
My (ICE) car sometimes sits for several months with little use and the NRMA (local equivalent of AA/AAA/CAA) sold me an intelligent charger which has been marvellous for keeping my 12v battery in good nick. Its a bit different to an ordinary charger as it has different charging patterns for different battery types and conditions.
My question is, is the 12v battery in the EV supplied as standard by Hyundai a poor quality battery, and would you recommend replacing it as soon as practical with a higher rated battery of the same size (if that’s possible)?
In 1995 I flew over Antarctica where I saw the cracking ice sheets and shrinking ice around the penguin colonies.

Jak odstranit poruchu motoru
Když se rozsvítí výstražná kontrolka tlaku motorového oleje Hyundai, znamená to, že tlak motorového oleje je nízký.
Pokud se varovná kontrolka rozsvítí během jízdy:
1. Jeďte bezpečně ke kraji vozovky a úplně zastavte.
2. Hladinu motorového oleje kontrolujte při vypnutém motoru. Pokud je hladina nízká, přidejte olej podle potřeby.
Pokud po doplnění oleje zůstane kontrolka svítit nebo pokud olej není k dispozici, poraďte se s mechanikem.
Varování: Pokud se motor nevypne ihned po rozsvícení kontrolky tlaku motorového oleje, může dojít k vážnému poškození.
Diagnostiku poruchy motoru v dílně může provést pouze kvalifikovaný mechanik.
5. Vadné zapalovací svíčky
Vadná zapalovací svíčka je jedním z nejčastějších důvodů, proč se váš ioniq nespustí. Je důležité měnit zapalovací svíčky alespoň jednou ročně a v některých případech i častěji. Kontakty mezi elektrodami a zástrčkou se časem opotřebují, protože motor bude špinavější. To může mít za následek vynechání zapalování nebo dokonce selhání motoru!
Jak vyřešit problém s vadnou zapalovací svíčkou
Je to docela jednoduché, opravdu: stačí odstranit staré zátky pomocí šroubováku a nahradit je novými (nebo alespoň novými od stejného výrobce).
Pokud chcete zkontrolovat, zda jsou stále dobré, můžete použít multimetr s funkcí ampérmetru, který dokáže měřit, kolik proudu jimi prochází, když jsou pod napětím. Pokud jimi již neprotéká žádný proud, znamená to, že již nefungují správně a měly by být okamžitě vyměněny!
6. Vadné palivové čerpadlo
Pokud selže palivové čerpadlo vašeho Ioniqu, motor se nespustí. Čerpadlo typicky zajišťuje, že správný objem paliva je převáděn z nádrže do vstřikovacího systému motoru pod dostatečným tlakem.
Pokud motor vašeho vozu často selhává, obtížně se startuje, mírně škube nebo funguje špatně, měli byste nechat zkontrolovat palivové čerpadlo. Tyto příznaky se obvykle objevují dříve, než vaše palivové čerpadlo selže.
Může to být způsobeno opotřebením nebo znečištěním čerpadla. Pokud benzínové čerpadlo prosakuje, je přerušený napájecí kontakt, přetržené vedení nebo je poškozena páka čerpadla, je to často zjistitelné před poruchou. Palivová čerpadla, která selhala, lze vyměnit ve vaší dílně.
Diagnostika vašeho Ioniq pomocí skeneru
Včasnou indikaci místa závady lze získat z diagnostiky závady, protože Hyundai Ioniq má palubní diagnostiku (OBD).
Před zahájením odstraňování problémů připojte diagnostický nástroj k vašemu Ioniq. Pod palubní deskou se často nachází konektor OBDII. Po připojení vodiče byste měli spustit zapalování. Vyhněte se však startování motoru.
Dále se většina diagnostických nástrojů bude ptát na vůz. Je důležité, abyste to zadali zcela přesně; v opačném případě by mohlo dojít ke změně výsledku vyhledávání. Kromě výrobce a modelu automobilu je obvykle nutné zadat identifikační čísla motoru a vozidla. Pro přesné řešení problémů vždy ověřte správnost informací.
