One of the selling points, for me, on the car, outside of performance, was the ability to automate the starting of my vehicle in the mornings, or being able to unlock/lock my doors from anywhere in the world (eg if my kids needed something from my car while I’m travelling). However, with AT&T shutting down 3g next year, it makes InTouch relatively useless in the vehicle.
For anyone else that is using the services for remote start, sending directions to the car, or other features, what are your plans?
The only thing I’m seeing, today, is to put a new remote start kit with app access in. There are a few in the market that are plug and play, but. UGH..

Unfortunately Infiniti stopped the intouch option 2020 + . I was really disappointed when I got my new car, Funniest part is that I work for Infiniti and they never told us about that, caused a few issues with customers.

Hey there, I am working on a DIY solution to replace Infiniti Connection, but I need to get some logs from the cars CAN bus to capture the signals sent by the TCU for lock/unlock/panic/start/stop. If you have a subscription, could I send you a logging device that plugs into your OBD port and have you use the Infiniti app to do start/stop/lock/unlock/panic? I can then pour over the logs and reverse engineer it.
I would do this on my own car, but I cannot sign up for Infiniti Connection because of the sunset cutting off new subscriptions. Once this is done, I would be able to release a cheap DIY solution to bring this functionality back. The most important thing is that I can get this CAN message sent from the TCM logged and reverse engineered before it’s impossible to get the TCM to send it again.

BTW, my Intouch services are not slotted to be turned off, because I’m driving a 2019 Q50 which does not appear on the Sundown list.

Have a prototype installed in my car that can read and send CAN bus messages. I have also narrowed down the CAN signal that sends the messages (thanks to the Nissan Leaf community), but no one with a 2021 has let me log their CAN bus while they do remote start/stop/lock/unlock/etc so I can capture the message sent by the stock TCU.
Would you be willing to let me send you a CAN logging device so I could capture those signals? I can’t do it on mine anymore since 3G is shut down, but the 2021+ models are the only ones that can still broadcast that message.
