First, off we do not recommend every solution listed below. Although, this is some ideas as to what sticky button owners have done to cure the grime left from years of use and sunlight.
Perfume or cologne and a small piece of soft sponge
When cleaning sticky buttons with a sponge, make sure it’s not a sharp sponge, and its the softest sponge you can find. We do not want to scratch or damage the button, and the perhaps lettering on the button as well. The perfume acts as a hydrating solution that dissolves the sticky outside layer of the button, especially sticky rubber buttons. Spray the soft sponge about fifteen times and then dab the button to absorb the grime. I should absorb the grimy gooey and turn the sponge black.
Microfiber cloth with perfume or cologne
Using a microfiber cloth will lessen your chances of scratching letters as opposed to a hard sponge. A tissue can be a good substitution just because not everyone has a microfiber cloth laying around. It will grab the leftover smeared goo and get all black removing the stickiness and leaving the remaining layers of rubber.
Electronic Safe Anhydrous Isopropyl Alcohol
One great example of anhydrous isopropyl alcohol is using 99.9% pure by MG chemicals. This solution is great to remove the stickiness, although the solution is seen as the short-term solution.
Acetone, and Fingernail polish remover
Do not use this! Yes, DO NOT use acetone or fingernail polish remover as it will do more harm than good. It is very harsh and can easily damage Ferrari buttons and sticky buttons alike.

I wouldn’t recommend this solution, although some individuals swear by it. Lemon Juice as most know is very acidic and can cause serious harm to the sticky Ferrari button, especially to the lettering. Too strong of a solution.
Blackfire all-in-one Purpose cleaner
A very versatile cleaner, its easily used to get the grime off of worn-out buttons. Works great for intense stains although I wouldn’t recommend because it can dull the color of the button.

Denatured Alcohol can be great for getting off really bad stains, the only problem is the alcohol smell and damaging of the rubber button color. Too harsh to get on rubber buttons
303 Aerospace protectant
This protectant product is quite superior for rubber products protecting them from UV damage. Firstly clean the grimy button with soap and water, Then lightly apply 303 Aerospace protectant. Keep in mind this is still a temporary protection product that’s used to increase the lifespan of the rubber buttons.
Window protector sun shield
Simply using a window protector can shield the sunlight and protect your buttons, leather, and dash from being damaged in the first place. The cheap investment is well worth it.
