I recently purchased a 2020 Q7 and absolutely love it! One issue I’ve ran into is how do I go about programming the key fobs to a stored memory seat configuration? I have my wife’s preferences stored to Memory Seat 1 and every time she uses her fob, I want the vehicle to detect her fob and recall her memory seats. Similarly, when I enter the vehicle with my own fob, I want it to recall my memory seat 2 configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This tutorial works for the previous version MMI.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve come across this video before but unfortunately it did not help. The 2020 model doesn’t have the «Store settings on remote control key» option. When you navigate through the MMI, the Seats setting only lets you adjust the ventilation/heat location of the seat.

Had a discussion with the service manager today. I was complaining about the driver seat not moving to the positions stored for each fob. It may move correctly, or may go to the opposite fob setting. There’s no telling. In any event, I was told this is a known issue. He as an A7 customer with the same complaint. Supposedly a fix is being worked on and they will notify me. To be continued.

Here is what you do. Go into the car and set up everything how you like it then lock it using your key fob. Now have your wife go to the car with her key, open the door but do not start the car. In the virtual cockpit, scroll down using the left thumbwheel on the steering wheel and select switch profile and select profile 2. Now she can start the car and change everything to her settings. After she locks the car with her key, it will remember her profile and your key will remember yours.
Another way to do this is to just start the car, bring down the notification bar on the top MMI screen, select the icon that looks like a person, and then change to profile 2 there. You can also rename the profiles so that on startup the virtual cockpit will say WELCOME «YOUR NAME». The profiles save everything (seat position, radio presets, shortcuts, all settings, etc.).
