When I first got my car in November, 2022, Android Auto took up the whole screen which is what I wanted (esp when stopped and my kids wanted to play games). Either I did something or AA updated so now there seems to be a permanent split-screen with my music controls persistently showing. Is there a way to remove this split screen so that the AA map takes up the whole screen width (and not 2/3)?

Hi, I have a 2022 N-Line, on my screen on the right looking at it, there is barely noticeable arrow to select full or partial screen I am sure2023 would not be any different,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I see no barely noticeable arrow to select full or partial screen. Anyone else?

Hi Here is some Photos of my screen, split screen and full screen. You can see halfway up on the right the arrow I alluded to, it is more clear on the full screen where it looks like a small black box. This is the best I can do I don’t know how to insert a reference over the photo.

That’s the factory screen/display with native GPS running, NOT Android Auto.

Did you have the 8 inch screen or the 10.25, in Canada for 2022 only the nline with the ultimate package had the 10.25 screen

I get where y’all are saying. I do have the 10.25″ screen on the CDN 2023 N-Line Ultimate AWD.
With the native GPS (NO Android Auto), the arrows show as usual.
But when Android Auto is connected, no arrows; the screen is stuck on split mode.
I’d like to get rid of the split screen when Android Auto is connected. Is this an issue with y’all as well?

Sorry I misread your original post, i didn’t realise you were referring to the screen for Android auto, I don’t have that so can be of no further help.

So I have Apple CarPlay, and in the settings menu on the factory software, there is an option to run CarPlay in full or split screen. I would think android auto has the same option. Try to change the settings before you connect your android phone. If you don’t see the option, I can check in my system on which folder it was in to help narrow it down.

I’ve got a 2021 that won’t do the split screen and that’s what I am after. It stays full screen map, maybe we can trade cars?

Home -> Setup -> Device Connections -> Phone Projection -> Android Auto -> uncheck «use split screen»

When I followed these steps (2023 Kona N-Line) the «use split screen» box was already unchecked. When I run AA, it only appears on the left 2/3rds or so of the screen. The right 1/3rd tells me I am running AA on a Pixel 7 Pro, which, of course, I already knew. It’s that right 1/3rd I want to expand into. With Coolwalk, the map is really small when running the frames on the right. Any suggestions?
